What is Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY)?

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is a scheme by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). It is implemented by National Skill Development Corporation. Type of Training Programs in PMKVY :

Short terms training:

The training time for STT courses is usually between 200 and 600 hours (2 to 6 months). The courses are connected with the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) and are delivered by accredited and affiliated Training Centers. The initiative will aid school or college dropouts as well as unemployed Indian youth. Candidates who pass the certification process will be offered a job, an entrepreneurship opportunity, or a scholarship.


Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL):

Modes of the PMKVY trainings

Classroom Based :

Training will be provided physically for both Theory and Practical at affiliated training centers of Pradhan mantra Kaushal Vikas Yojna 3.0. It is a 100% Classroom-based method.

Blended approach :

The theory portion of the course could be offered digitally or online, with the practical portion taking place at an affiliated Training Center with physical training infrastructure.

Trainigs :

  • Training would be based on the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) and industry-led standards and would be provided on a need-based basis.
  • The majority of the skills do not necessitate any formal education or experience.

Eligibility and requirement for enrollment in PMKVY :

  • Job seekers who are starting their careers for the first time
  • 10, 12, or college dropouts can enroll in PMKVY Scheme.
  • An Applicant has to provide an Aadhar card number, Mobile Number, PAN card, or election card.

Trainig cost with PMKVY.

The cost of training will vary depending on the course and will be disclosed by the centre, with candidates responsible for payment. Although some facilities may not charge a cost, candidates will be required to pay a minor assessment fee during the application process. The incentive of Rs. 8,000, which will be given to successful candidates once they complete the programme, can be used to cover the training charge.

How to get a job after training?

It should be noted that neither the trainers nor the plan can guarantee job placement. They may, however, be able to aid with job placement.

How to receive the monetary reward?

During the application process, candidates must supply the training centre with their bank account information, which they will then upload to SDMS. And, if the course is completed successfully, the award money will be deposited directly into this bank account. If you do not have a bank account, you can open a Pradhan Mantri zero balance savings account. Jan Dhan Yojana is a government-sponsored scheme.
